The women’s lacrosse team has started their season off 2-2. They are 1-0 in conference after a 13-4 win against Panther Creek on March 12th.
They played against Enloe on Tuesday, they ended up winning 16-2. There were 8 different goal scorers, so the Gators were moving and sharing the ball. Senior captain Kelly Harmon had 5 goals and Junior Lia Cohen scored 3 goals.
Since they won by so much they got to put in players that don’t typically get as much playing time.
Cohen said, “The game against Enloe was a very fun game where we got to put in a lot of new players and a lot of us got to try new positions.”
This decisive win was a great confident booster for the team and they’re looking to keep winning as conference play starts up.
“This season the team is looking really good because everyone is working really well together and putting in 100% effort.”
Hopefully the Gators can keep their winning conference play record in their game against Willow Spring on Thursday, March 19. They have a similar record of 3-3 and are also 1-0 in conference after beating Felton Grove 18-10.
Come out and support the Gators at the Swamp as they face the Storm.
