The Green Level Gators are heading to an away game against the Cary Imps tomorrow. Green Level looks to defend its Crosstown Cup title after winning 37-36 in overtime during the last season, coming back from a 16-point deficit. This was one of the biggest wins in Green Level history, with fans and students storming the field to hoist the trophy with the Gators after the big win.

Going into this game, the Gators are 1-2 this season, having beaten South Granville 18-0 on the home opener, and the Gators look to add another win to their record.

We interviewed Coach Fernandez on how the team has fought through and will continue to fight adversity going forward, from out-of-conference to in-conference games.

“I think the beautiful thing about the out of conference game that we had is that we did face a lot of adversity but that also allowed the leadership group the seniors and the young underclassmen to kind of bond together, and I think the success we put together on the practice field we had a great bye-week this last week and really looking foward to have success this friday at Cary.” We also interviewed 2 of the captains, quarterback Gavin Jones and offensive lineman Rusho Moinuddin and asked them about their thoughts for the game this Friday.
