Candygrams are a cute Valentine’s Day tradition. The Student Government runs this event, more specifically, the Freshmen class. There are only 1000 available. At $1 each, they’re a sweet investment.
Anyone can buy one using cash or a check. The Freshmen class representatives and officers are located at the table in the cafeteria by the Auditorium.
Freshman class president Noah Lee said, “It’s only a dollar, so I think it’s a really good deal for being able to send someone candy. And worse care, now, you can just send it to yourself, and then you’d have candy.”
Each Candygram consists of a little note card where you can write whatever message you’d like, as long as it’s school-appropriate, of course. Some of them include 5 pieces of small candy or 3 small candy pieces and 2 bigger ones. They’re a good deal for the price.
Freshman, Hannah Reeves decided to buy Candygrams because, “Valentine’s Day is coming up, and I thought it’d be a perfect thing to get my friends, and it’s a fun way to spread happiness and joy.”
Candygrams can be given to whoever you would like. A teacher, a friend, a significant other, really anyone you want to send to someone you can. They can be completely anonymous, or you can write your name. Make sure to know their second-period teacher since that’s where they’re going to be delivered on Friday, the 13th.
As Lee said, “It’s an activity for school unity, and it’s a fun thing to do.”
The Freshman class worked very hard on packaging the candy and making sure that the candygrams made it to the right classrooms. The student government has been hard at work making our school a better and more connected place.
