The Green Level Band partnered with the Hendrick Toyota dealership to raffle off a brand new car to raise money for their equipment and events. The band puts on this fundraiser every 2 years. Band is overall expensive to operate so fundraisers like this are important to keep it running smoothly. 

Tickets for the raffle cost $20 each, but if you buy 3 it’s only $50 and 7 only costs $100. The deadline to buy a ticket is 5:00 PM, on Saturday, March 14th. The band hopes to raise $90K with the raffle, and so far they’ve only brought in $35K. 

Although the band is far off their original goal, the money they’ve raised so far is important. A member of the band, Oviya Shanmugam, is one of the organizers of the fundraiser. 

“We have a growing band, so the money goes to the kids coming in and to keep our program growing,” said Shanmugam.
