As the 2025-2026 basketball season tips off at Green Level, anticipation is building around both the boys and girls varsity teams. With fresh new talent, returning leaders, and a packed schedule, the Gators are looking to make a difference in the new Quad City Seven conference.
The boys team, led by Coach Green, opens their season starting November 14 against Broughton. Fans are eager to see which athletes will step up as the new leaders on the court. With a mix of returning players and new faces, the team’s success will depend on how quickly they come together.
“I’m looking forward to the challenges of this season compared to the last few seasons, we have a completely different team, so we will have to be able to manage games late in the fourth quarter and try to come out on top.” says Green.
The girls team is also preparing for a competitive season. Based on last year’s performance, expectations are high for this new incoming group. Returning players are going to bring leadership and intensity, while newcomers will add depth and energy to the lineup.
Coach Woolf, varsity girls coach says even though it’s a new year they still have the same mindset.
“Every year we have one goal, make the playoffs and see if we can make a run.” Said Woolf.
With the support of the student section and packed gym, the girls will be ready to show what this program has to offer.
Both teams are coming into the season with a clean slate and a chance to define their identity in this conference. The Gator’s athletic program continues to highlight teamwork, discipline, and school pride.
Whether you’re a student, parent, or just a fan, make sure to come out and support the Gators. The energy in the gym, the sound of the sneakers, and the roar of the crowd will be something you won’t want to miss.
The first chance to come to a game is on Friday, November 14, 2025. With an exciting double header, the girls game at 6:30pm and the boys game at 8:00pm. Come support your Gators!
