This past weekend, 2/4-2/9, the Green Level Cheerleading and Dance Team flew to Orlando, Florida, to compete at high school nationals at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Both teams did well and represented Green Level in a great light.
The cheerleading team did not advance to day two traditionally and were close by 2 points in their gameday division, but put in their best effort and did really well in the competition.
“We practiced very hard and put in our best effort, and I think we did amazing,” said cheer captain Harper Willis. “Its hard to advance, but we put in work and gave it our all, so I’m proud.”
The dance team competed second with a strong start to the competition, but also did not advance. The dance team is a group of hardworking members who put in their all every day of practice.
“We have really hard working captains that put in a lot of time and effort into this team, and our coach is amazing, who always supports everyone,” says Vivianne.
Both of these teams are excellent athletes who have really proved themselves this season with their wins and hard work. Nationals is a difficult competition to advance in, but both teams are ready to come back next season better than before and put in the work to improve. Green Level is beyond proud and ecstatic for these amazing groups of girls for their commitment, work, and talent. We look forward to seeing what they hold for us next season throughout all competitions, especially nationals.
