The Men’s Lacrosse team is currently on a winning streak.

Weekly Recap: 2/1-2/5

Basketball (Men’s and Womens): The JV Men’s team lost against Hillside and Cary High School on 2/1 and 2/3 by scores of 68-32 and 42-21. On 2/2, Varsity Men’s and Women’s faced Hillside at home. The Men’s team lost by a score of 64-29, and the Women’s team lost a close one in the final minutes, ending with a final of 57-52.

2/5: All teams visited Jordan High School in Durham for a Friday night matchup. JV Men’s lost by a score of 73-27. Women’s lost by a score of 69-50 after nearly coming back late in the game. Varsity Men’s also were defeated by a score of 82-35. Both Men’s teams fall to an 0-9 record, and Women’s fall to 3-5.

JV Men’s will visit Panther Creek Monday 2/8 and Men’s/Women’s Varsity will play at home vs Panther Creek on Tuesday 2/9. 

Lacrosse (Men’s and Women’s): The women’s lacrosse team fell 14-12 to the Jordan Falcons this past Thursday while the men’s varsity team defeated Athens Drive by a score of 12-6. Both teams have an assortment of games next week, we wish them the best of luck. 

Soccer (Men’s and Women’s):

The JV men’s soccer team took a victory 2-0 on Tuesday night at Panther Creek high school, and then took a heartbreaking loss of 1-0 off a penalty kick. Overall great performance. The Varsity Men’s soccer team had two close games on both Tuesday and Thursday. They ended up taking two unfortunate losses one 4-3 and the other 2-1. Both games went down to the wire. Both the JV and varsity teams are ready to go for next week’s games.

Swimming Regionals: The Swimming/Diving went to Regionals this past Friday. Qualifiers were Hailey Holt, Katherine McRae, Shakira Qian, Ashley Hughes, Matthew Erikson, Matthew Honaker, Matthew Schoenagel, COlton Wade, and Connor Peak. Congratulations to all of these Gators that made it this far.
